25 weeks down!

How far along? 25 weeks completed!

Total weight gain/loss: I've gained 17lbs so far....

 

Maternity clothes? Still mixing and matching

 

Sleep: Can't seem to get comfortable...Bailey likes to move and kick when I am trying to fall asleep.

Best moment this week:  Getting an unexpected 3d ultrasound at my appointment this week!

 

Miss Anything? running, patio drinking, turkey sandwiches, beer

Enjoyments:  We got Bailey's crib in!!

 

Movement: She moves the most when the sun hits her!

Food cravings:  ICE CREAM....and I have eaten alot of hamburgers lately.

Anything making you queasy or sick: drinking the SUGARY glucose drink and then having to lay back for the ultrasound....NOT a good mix.

Have you started to show yet: oh ya

Belly Button: it's staying in for the moment.....

Wedding rings on or off? On

Happy or Moody most of the time: been moody lately...I have seemed to lost my filter before I speak....

Looking forward to:  Getting our new carpet so I can set up Miss Bailey's room!!

24 weeks down!

Finally spring break!!!!!  Thank God for this amazing weather!!!! I love 80 degree weather and getting freckles. I was sunbathing on Sunday, and Miss Bailey was going crazy in the sun. Every time the sun hits my belly she starts moving and grooving....either she likes the sun like her mommy or hates it like her daddy???? Either way, the sunshine makes mommy happy, and happy mommy equals happy baby!



As for week 24....this week brought on a major craving for ice cream. I have never eaten sweets like this before, but I really need to stop it because A. I have my glucose test this Thursday and B. I also have to get on the Doc's scale this week. I am not sure what my husband means when he says I look "healthy"...but he does his best to make me feel pretty...Who wouldn't be attracted to a woman who wears men's sweats and t-shirts around the house? Not to mention, I am boycotting drying my hair until I get it cut on Wednesday, and I also refuse to wear make-up on spring break. No judging.....

I am so happy to be able to exercise outside instead of the dreaded treadmill! I am still able to run/walk about 3 miles...when I say run, I mean slow, slow jog.

23 weeks!

How far along? 23 weeks completed!

Total weight gain/loss: When I got on the scale at the Doc's office, I said "O Shit!"

Maternity clothes? Yes....still have a few normal things I can wear.

Sleep: Since I have been taking Benadryl at night, I have been knocked out!

Best moment this week:  Stevie was tapping on my belly, and Bailey gave him at big punch :)

Miss Anything? running, taking real allergy medicine.....damn Bradford Pear trees are in full bloom!

Enjoyments:  warm weather! Stevie and I went on a hike today, and I got some sun!!!!! I am so ready for the pool and getting a tan!!

Movement: Yes she moves around alot, and I love it!

Food cravings: I haven't had much of an appetite this week...I think my stomach is being smashed  by Bailey..... But I did have have a late night run to Sonic for french toast sticks! Yummy!

Anything making you queasy or sick: Just the Bradford Pears and my students...been suffering from a sinus and ear infections mixed with my spring allergies this week!

Have you started to show yet: ah ya!

Belly Button: any day now, its about to pop.....

Happy or Moody most of the time: been moody....not use to gaining weight.

Looking forward to:  My spring break and getting my hair cut!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As for Holmes...

22 weeks down...

I can't believe 22 weeks are down... I am 6 months (well, tomorrow)

How far along? 22 weeks completed!

Total weight gain/loss: Do people really loose at this point?!

Maternity clothes? Yes. I  packed up 2 plastic containers of clothes that I can no longer squeeze into. It's funny how small those suckers look when you can't fit into them anymore!

I also sport my husband's t-shirts these days...and his sweat pants....and his socks (which is nothing really new)

Sleep: Better...only peeing 2-3 times a night vs. 5 or more times!

 

Best moment this week:  getting Bailey's nursery furniture! (See previous post) AND Bailey's friend Will was born! Congrats AV and LaLa

Miss Anything? Running, bending over like a normal person, happy hours....

Enjoyments:  Strong nails, long hair, and getting new clothes....too bad the clothes are big girl clothes.

Movement: YES!!! Saturday night she was moving and grooving....Hardest kicks yet....we could see them and daddy got to feel them.

Food cravings: Fruit and potatoes......anything sweet!

Anything making you queasy or sick: I got so nauseous cutting raw chicken the other night....yuck!

Have you started to show yet: Yes!

Belly Button: Getting really flat.....it's waiting to pop!

Wedding rings on or off? On

Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy! I am growing a little person...with little organs and body parts!

Looking forward to: Putting Bailey's nursery together!

 

As for Holmes...

 

Bailey's Nursery

Baby Bailey's nursery is slowly coming together. Since I love decorating, I am having a blast putting it all together.

We bought a beautiful dresser/changing table off Craigslist. It is "shabby-chic", and Stevie had a great time learning what "shabby-chic" is all about. While we I was scared to buy something off craigslist, mostly due to the lifetime move, "Craigslist Killer", it actually was a great experience. The hottie guy we got it from finds furniture and refinishes it for a living! We absolutely love this piece and are excited we invested in such a nice piece of furniture.

Since I wanted to use my favorite horse painting in Bailey's room, because I assume she will love horses as much as me....oh I cant wait to have my little equestrian girl!....I am going with all my favorite bright colors so the painting will work!

As for the glider....well, we are going with a rocker. Since Bailey's middle name, Grace, is in remembrance of my granny. We are going to put Granny's rocker in her room. The rocker is so comfortable and it will be a piece of my Granny in Bailey's room....I know, tear.....

The one I ordered is slightly different...it will be turquoise background with white letters, with LOVE and the word heart in magenta.

The curtains

It's all coming together. Wall space is covered, and I know the other little things I need! We are lucky to be getting the bumper pads and bed skirt from my sister...which are white with hot pink trim. Luckily, I have the perfect quilt and pillow to match everything! I have an idea of what sheet and changing pad cover I want...just have to find it! Thank heavens for etsy.com

I am super excited for everything to get here and start setting it all up! ....Mom, I need you to help put the finishing touches on your granddaughter's room.... I swear my mother can move a picture frame a 1/2 and inch and it makes the room look perfect.... guess it is where I get my decorating skills from...LOL....My mother can move any size furniture...up or down stairs...we have been known to do lots of rearranging and redecorating on a short amount of time, aka- before Dad gets home from work! I won't go into her obsession , love for lamps...but, Mom I do need a lamp for Bailey's room!

As for Holmes....he thinks this is all for him....poor dumb cat.

As for Uno...he isn't interested at all.
